December 2016 was a great month of specials and one-shot comic books celebrating Christmas and New Year’s, along with all our other regular comic books! There were several new story lines, continuing stories and all-new characters that were also released in December 2016, giving comic book readers lots to choose from!
Joshua Williamson and Jason Fabok started the month off with an all-new crossover event with The Justice league vs. Suicide Squad #1, which was the number one selling book for DC Comics for the month of December. This epic meeting sets the first major event storyline of DC's Rebirth era, which is sure to be the biggest DC Comic Event of the season!
Over at Marvel Comics the Inhumans vs. X-Men began with issue #1, Marvel Comics big event for 2016, while Civil War II wrapped up with issue #8. On-going comic book Star Wars added a new comic book to their line of comics with Star Wars: Doctor Aphra #1, which spins out of the popular comic book, Star Wars: Darth Vader. Over at Albatross Funnybook's popular comic book, Hillbilly #4 quickly rose to the top of the best-selling charts! And, Grimm Fairy Tales #1 was released in December 2016 from Zenescope Comics and this chiller became their best seller of the month.
