Tae Rayne clutches the jar that holds the soul of the dear friend, ripped from her arms. Looking only for peace and sweet sleep, she stumbles down into the sewers deep beneath Los Angeles, and the memories and nightmares take over as she drifts between this life and the next. The Gaians live in these dark passages, these humans are the cast-off's, the souls that did not link to the REM. A group of these dregs realize who she is and tell her of how they all watched as "the blonde haired beauty" was called a traitor and a whore before she was cut from life and the REM.
